Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!

It’s been a while since my last post. It has been a fast pace. Tonight, we are in Greensboro, NC, so you know we covered some ground.

This is the morning I left the beach. It was just daybreak. Sad to leave such a wonderful spot, but I’m always excited to see what’s next. We went to Bar Harbor, but my hooman let the phone (camera) die. It was quite a place though. It was very compact in the little city area, but the Arcadia National Park was right there. We had the best time being in nature. My hooman let me off the leash. It was so much fun running around. Then we got in the car to drive to Dover, NH. My hooman hadn’t seen some friends in 35 years. They invited us over to their home for dinner. I had a blast with their English Lab, Tahoe. He couldn’t keep up with me. But it was nice to run around.

This is Richard and Jackie’s backyard. Missed the sunset but got the reflection still.

Ready to hit the road to Gettysburg…long, long drive.

This is a monument of Sally the Civil War dog. She lived throughout the war. One time they thought she was killed, but they found here with some fallen soldiers. She was trying to protect them. She was with the soldiers since she was a puppy. Have to say, she was extra special. We are loyal for sure, but many times the loud noises scare us away. Not Sally.

This is the eternal flame from the Civil War. The bottom is made of granite from Maine. The top is limestone from Alabama. It is to signify the unity following the war. My hooman said she’s not so sure we’ve achieved that unity.

This is the national cemetery. It is where President Lincoln delivered the Gettysburg address. There were 23,000 Union soldiers killed and 25,000 Confederate soldiers killed in a 3-day battle. It was a somber day for my hooman. She says that not enough has changed since the Civil War, but I don’t want to get into politics. I just need a treat. I’m easy to please.

Tomorrow we will be back in Atlanta. Looking forward to playing with my friend Fraser. He’s fun to play with, but not as much fun as Sadie.
