For the record, I like beaches better than cities

We woke this morning, with of course, a walk on the beach. It was just after sunrise. You can see in my picture that the sun is making a shadow from the east. It was so nice. We started out as the only ones on the beach. I was scared beyond when I came upon a part of a dead fish’s head. My hooman was yelling for me to get away from it. It was at least two times my head size and it was only the top portion of the head..it had the top teeth up. My hooman said it was G-ross.

Then we went into Portland to spend time with uncle Rue and Tatiana, as well as see Jen (mommy to be) and meet her husband. We did all of it and more. Lots of walking the city streets. Then we went to the Portland Head Light. The grounds were magnificent. Lots of thick grass for my paws. My hooman had to get a lobster roll at Bite into Maine. She said it was delicious. I don’t think there is such a thing as a bad one to her. We spent some time there marveling at the beauty of the lighthouse and the coast. It is the first light house ever commissioned by our newly formed country in 1781. George Washington commissioned it. It was the first light house in Maine. Even I enjoyed checking it out…remember the grass was soft.

We made it back home. The sea looks beautiful tonight. I am going to sleep like a puppy. We are waking up for sunrise in the morning. This is our last night here. We’ve really enjoyed our time.

This is what we see looking out from our cottage. Lots of dogs walk by as well.
