About

This idea has been in the works for a little bit. My hooman retired at the end of July 2023. She was supposed to go on a bike trip through Maine, but she hurt herself while playing tennis and needed knee surgery. So now we are taking a road trip to Maine. She has been working to learn what is needed so we will be able to take a trip together at the end of September and chronical it. She says it is all about me!!! I can totally understand the idea and why it would be popular, but my hooman has had some learning curves to set up a blog. Hopefully we’ll be up and running in the next week or so.

Where this all started was my hooman’s love for dogs. She had two rescues most recently. Hannah, a yellow lab and Taxi, a golden retriever. Both dogs were in their upper years and became sick. My hooman began to look for a smaller dog and got on line and found ME. My name is Toots. Not toots as in gas, it is Toots as in Toots. Honestly, we are a great team. She is so lucky to have found me and I am so lucky to have found her. She takes it a little far. She calls me her child. Her hooman kids will not call me their sister. I get it. I may be smart, but I am not hooman despite my hooman’s beliefs. But I am much more entertaining.

We are getting ready to take a road trip together next week. It is called Travels With Toots: It’s a dog’s life. We are both soooo excited. We always have grandkids around at different times in the week. This will be two weeks of just us. A girls trip so to speak. We are going to Baltimore, Hyannis, Kennebunk Port and several places in Maine. On our way back, we are headed to Atlanta to see some of those grandkids and kids or should I say, my brother and sister with my nephews. We look forward to sharing our travels with you.

Sit tight. If all goes as plans, we’ll be back to share our fun time.
